Grace is 6 going on 30...

I met Grace last week to do her '6 year old' photographs. She instantly charmed me. I am a sucker for babies and kids anyhow, but really...this little girl I could've taken her home and hung out with her all day long. She was funny and reminded me of my daughter in a few ways.

What really got me was the whole time we were doing photographs when I would set the shot up she would say, "Miss Jennifer I think you should take 4 of this picture." Then she would tell me what she thought would make a good photograph. I kept laughing at her and she said, " I love making you laugh! " I thought what little kid thinks like this. It was really cute.

Then she offered to carry my backpack with my gear in it. I knew it was kind of heavy but she wanted to carry it anyway. I asked her if she was my assistant how much would she want to be paid. "Only 90 hundred dollars," she said. Then she said, "but I would take $5," hahahahahaha!.

I happened to have a five in my pocket, so I decided to give it to her. She whispered to her mom, "I should of asked for 10." So cute.

She use to call pine cones rain cones which I thought was cute. I like the photographs we did of those in her hands. She also wanted her mom in the photographs which is just precious really. Too quickly kids go off and grow up and so those moments they want you right next them in photographs is something to cherish for sure.

I look forward to seeing Grace and all her cute freckles again some day soon.

Thanks Kristen for everything. I had a lot of fun hanging out with the two of you!

Kristen Paige

A friend of mine I used to know from working at the community hospitals approached me a while back about taking pictures of her daughter.
I had the pleasure of getting to do her Kristen, her daughter's, senior photographs.

It was a lot of fun. I felt inspired and like I was back in college. She was up for any ideas and had a fun personality.  I look at highschoolers like her and I wish I was half as cool as her when I was in school. The fashion mistakes we all made in the 90's did me no justice but kids now are able to express themselves in such creative and much more unique ways then when I was going through my teen years. Kristen is artsy and fun and beautiful so taking good photographs was not hard.

Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Jack struts the catwalk...

So little Jack and his parents Dawn and Pete met me early the other morning at the IMA. As soon as I saw little 2 year old Jack he was all smiles. Quite the ladies man this one was.

He was so cute in his brown sweater and button down shirt...but what really got me was how we were walking around the grounds. I had stopped taking photographs and was just walking and talking to his parents. Jack was walking right behind us and when I turned around to look at Jack, I picked up my camera and he immediately took a step back and did a 360 just as you would see on a catwalk. As he spun around his eyes looked straight up at the camera and he smiled and posed.

It was hilarious. Then I would pose his parents and he would do exactly what his dad was doing for the photographs. I was doing photographs of just his parents and he walked right in and posed himself right infront of his parents. I think that is kind of what being a parent is about. It is not about the 2 of you anymore...and Jack was saying anywhere you guys are I want to be right there with you ;)

Thanks guys for letting me do your photographs it was a great day!

Rob & Jenny...

Jenny and Rob are long-time friends of Tommy's.  When I met them I instantly felt so comfortable around them.  I think they make an amazing couple. There friends and family are so much fun and take you in and make you feel one of the group.

With all this support of their families, the whole event went really smooth and was a lot of fun.  The rehearsal started with duckpin bowling...which I happen to be horrible at...I will keep my day job. And then we ate some really delicious BBQ.

The wedding took place at Fountain Square Theatre. We did photographs before hand at the IMA.
Jenny and Rob chose to see each other prior to the ceremony which I thought made for some really special photographs of the two of them alone taking in that moment of seeing each other for the first time and exchanging gifts.

Thanks Jenny and Rob for letting be such a big part of your day!

Mason turns 1!

Mason's mom, Amy, I have know since she was 15. I managed a Delia's a long time ago. She was my favorite young lady working there for me. Something connected us right away. I found of sense of wanting to be a good role model and be that person she could talk to about anything.

So much has happened in both of our lives. She was the videographer during Maya's birth. She now has her own little one, Mason. He is adorable. He has the biggest blue eyes I have ever seen.

We did photographs in a couple of locations and ended our day at the Flying Cupcake, in Broadripple. I got some really great shots of him with the cupcake.

Happy 1st Year Mason! Auntie Jenn Loves You!

Yanni

Yanni's mom Aretoula contacted me about doing newborn photographs. Although he has been here for a couple of months he is only about 8lbs. Adorable and no doubt the most laid back I have had for newborn photographs he was a dream come true.
I could place him anywhere for photographs and he was just fine with that.
He is so cute and doing so well now after being just 4lbs when born.

Here are some precious photographs of him!

Ella and Cameron

These two cuties are all over our website. Cameron adorns our splash page with his, all too cool, football stance. Ella has this really amazing soul and big smile. She reminds me a lot of her mom. They are so good and so cute. I really loved getting to see them a year later. Cameron looked the most different to me this year. His chubby cheeks were less chubby and his hair cut was cute and more grown up.

He is now into baseball and was cracking me up with his batting stance. He was really getting into the role by spitting on the ground like a real baseball player and then getting into position for me.

Cameron and Ella will be really great siblings to the new baby on the way.

Here are some new photographs of some of my favorite little people to photograph.
